I always have to look at your car pictures in the because your pictures always show the steering wheel on the incorrect side of the car.

The Ro80 is an amazing design to look at , but the Comotor just wasn’t a matured enough design, so they break down a lot. Swapping in a 12A or 13B should make it more reliable though!

Do it! And be sure to swap in a turbo  13B for ‘reliability’...

More reliability and more power! A win-win!

Better than yet another LS swap, no?

Definitely! I would be very impressed if someone would manage to fit an LS in a Ro80, though .

Well, if you kept it FWD the rear wheels probably wouldn't touch the ground...

Weren't the engines in the later years reliable (for a Wankel)?

Yeah, they fixed the seal issue, which meant they didn’t wear as fast as the early ones. Still not as reliable as a (modern) Mazda wankel though.

The ad says that it already has a Mazda engine. I’m a lot more worried about the rust than the engine. The rust issues look very  scary.

Ah hadn’t read the ad...

But yeah the rust looks a bit worrying too

A very bad idea. Therefore, do it. Especially, if you can get it for under 2 grand.
